About this service
Install Bathroom Faucet
A new bathroom faucet should do more than look right on the counter. It needs to match the sink’s mounting plan, reach the basin correctly, connect cleanly to the water supply and run without drips or strained lines. Bathroom Faucet Installation is for a new mounting configuration, new fixture location or first-time setup, usually alongside a new vanity, sink or bathroom remodel. If the new faucet will use the existing mounting holes and supply locations, Bathroom Faucet Replacement is the right service. Schedule Your Plumber or call The Crazy Plumber at (236) 552-0190.

When Bathroom Faucet Installation Is the Right Service
This service fits a new mounting configuration, a first-time faucet setup or a project where the supply position, sink layout, counter holes or wall rough-in must change. A wall-mounted faucet, a vessel-sink faucet or a faucet being added with a new vanity can all belong here when the existing setup cannot be reused as a straightforward swap.
The scope changes with the fixture and room. A different hole pattern may require a compatible counter or sink plan. A wall-mounted faucet requires supplies and valve placement inside the wall. A vessel sink changes faucet height and reach. If several fixtures or the room layout are changing together, Bathroom Remodel Plumbing becomes the umbrella service. Identifying that difference before purchase is usually less expensive than discovering it after the counter is cut or the tile is finished.
What to Check Before You Buy a Bathroom Faucet
Start with the mounting layout. A faucet may use one hole, three holes set close together, or a wider three-hole layout. Measure the existing holes and check whether the new faucet includes a deck plate if you need to cover unused openings. The spout also needs to land far enough into the basin that water does not hit the back wall, rim or drain stopper.
Next, check clearance. A handle that opens into a backsplash, a medicine cabinet that blocks a tall faucet, or a vessel-sink faucet that splashes over a shallow bowl can make an attractive choice frustrating every day. If you are replacing a vanity or basin at the same time, send the fixture specifications and a photo of the plumbing below the sink before installation.
Finally, look below the counter. Older shutoff valves, corroded supply connections and cramped cabinet access can affect the work. A new faucet connected to a valve that cannot close reliably is not a finished installation.
A new faucet configuration using sound, accessible connections is different from adding wall routing, fitting a vessel faucet, working inside a tight wall-hung vanity or coordinating the fixture with a new basin. The useful question is not whether every installation costs the same. It is whether the faucet, sink and planned plumbing can work together without creating a future leak or usability problem.
Bathroom Faucet Installation in Existing Homes and Strata Buildings
Bathroom fixtures are often updated long after the original vanity and shutoffs were installed. In older homes, the visible faucet may be new while the valves and supply connections below it are not. In condos, townhomes and other strata properties, access, water shutoff procedures and responsibility for work around shared systems can add planning steps.
That does not mean the project is complicated by default. It means the installation should begin with the actual cabinet, shutoffs and building context rather than assumptions based on the fixture box. If the vanity is also being replaced, coordinate the faucet, sink and drain layout together so each part has room to be installed and serviced later.
What to Do Before the Appointment
Have the new faucet on site, including any deck plate, mounting hardware and drain assembly supplied with it. Keep the receipt, installation guide and model information available. Clear the vanity cabinet, remove stored items from around the sink and let us know if the water shutoff is controlled by the building or strata.
If you are still shopping, send a photo of the sink from above and below, the distance between any faucet holes, and the proposed fixture. We can help identify a mismatch before it becomes a return or a countertop problem.
When you are planning a new bathroom faucet configuration, schedule service with The Crazy Plumber. Send the faucet model, sink or vanity specifications, room photos and any rough-in drawings. We will confirm the mounting and supply plan, coordinate the installation with the surrounding project and test the finished fixture before daily use.
If the faucet is already installed but loose, stiff, weak or difficult to use, Bathroom Faucet Repair is usually the better service. If water is actively dripping, pooling below the sink or entering the vanity, start with Faucet Leak Repair. A new faucet is not automatically the answer to a leak, and a repair is not always the right answer for a fixture that has reached the end of its parts support.

Job steps
What Happens During a Bathroom Faucet Installation
- The existing setup is assessed. We confirm the sink mounting, faucet-hole spacing, spout reach, shutoff condition and available clearance before disconnecting anything.
- Water is isolated and the old fixture is removed. The faucet, supply connectors and any applicable drain hardware are disconnected carefully so the sink, counter and vanity are not damaged in the process.
- The new faucet is mounted and aligned. The fixture is seated according to its mounting design, secured without over-tightening and positioned so the handles and spout work naturally with the basin.
- The connections are renewed or corrected as needed. We connect the hot and cold supplies, assess the shutoff valves and make sure the lines are not kinked, stretched or rubbing against sharp cabinet edges.
- The faucet is tested as a working system. Hot and cold flow, handle travel, temperature control, spray pattern and every accessible connection are checked before the cabinet is put back into use.

Questions homeowners ask
Yes. Homeowners often choose the faucet themselves, then have the plumbing connections and installation completed professionally. Before buying, confirm the hole pattern, spout height and reach, and whether the fixture includes the drain hardware you expect. A photo of the sink and the proposed faucet can help identify obvious fit problems early.
Yes, when the existing vanity can support the new mounting plan. A different hole pattern, vessel sink or wall-mounted design may require counter work, a different basin or changes to the supply routing. If the faucet is simply replacing another fixture in the same holes with the same supply locations, Bathroom Faucet Replacement is the more accurate service.
It depends on their condition. A valve that operates smoothly and remains dry may not need replacement. A seized, corroded or weeping valve deserves attention while the cabinet is already open, because the faucet installation relies on that valve for future service and quick shutoffs.
Sometimes. The critical details are the mounting-hole pattern, the sink’s depth and hole location, clearance above and behind the faucet, and the spout’s reach into the basin. A new style can work well, but style alone does not confirm compatibility.

I had an amazing experience with The Crazy Plumber, specifically Brad, who truly lived up to the name (in the best way possible). He was incredibly fast, reliable, and affordable, which is already a win, but what really stood out was how kind and easygoing he was throughout the whole process. Within minutes of arriving, he was hauling what looked like a 400-pound auger machine up two flights of stairs like it was part of his daily workout routine. Honestly, I was impressed before he even started the job. The clog didn’t stand a chance. He handled it quickly and efficiently, and before I knew it, everything was working perfectly again. In and out, no stress, no mess. Bonus points: professional, friendly… and not hard on the eyes either 😉 If you’re looking for someone who gets the job done right (and makes the whole experience surprisingly pleasant), Brad at The Crazy Plumber is your guy. Highly recommend! 🐝💜🫶🏻
Karn, thank you very much for your service, thank you for your kindness, thank you for coming in super fast and doing your excellent job.
